Today started by being sent to another store to work. It is not an easy atmosphere to work in, due to customers and other dynamics. Once I arrived, I was told that “we don’t need any extra help today.” So, I returned to my home store. Things were chaotic and messy, as I tried to co-exist with some of my co-workers. I finally finished the day, clocked out, and headed home. As I arrived home, I received news that one of my wife’s cats was rushed to the vet er, where it was discovered that he suffered from advanced felline cancer of the blood. The disease had reached the bone marrow, where it started to poison his basic systems and organs. They graciously put him to sleep. Though there are several other cats and two dogs in the house, it feels somewhat empty and quiet. No more head-butts of love from my little lion. I am grateful to God for the animals that share this great planet with us. And I am blessed by what transpires with those creatures. Thank you, God, for allowing me to share time with Tico.
